Who: The Scribe Society is a small group of people that create a positive and respectful environment conducive for great literary journeys. We encourage writers of all ages, genres, and experience to join us along the path.
WHAT: We offer critiques to those who wish it, accountability to those who need it, and encouragement for any who will receive it. We offer writing prompts, word games and the opportunity to build friendships and network with others understanding that we may have separate goals, but we still need support sometimes.
There is no "roll call", no "have to read", but we have a very loose four-part format.
1.) check-in/ accountability
2.) word game of some sort for a bit
3.) flash fiction writing or other short challenges
4.) Occasional guest speakers and/or featured topics
WHEN: We meet every Tuesday night from 5:30 to 7:30 as well as hosting special events once a month or so.
WHERE: We are currently proudly partners with Coffee County Lannom Library in Tullahoma.
WHY: We hope that every time you walk away you feel inspired, challenged, and ready to put your voice out into the world.
This group does not have an "18 and up" requirement. HOWEVER, anything may be discussed, including risky material. So parental discretion is advised.
